College of Agriculture Gangavathi, Koppal
New agriculture college proposed in Gangavathi taluk in Koppal District, Karnataka has raised hopes in farming community.

Koppal district in-charge minister BC Patil, is also the agriculture minister in Karnataka, Inaugurated new Varsity in Gangavathi, Koppal on March 6 and spoke on importance of soil health cards and Krishi Sanjeevini vehicle which works like an ambulance to solve the problems for crops.

The Koppal District has a Krishi Vigyan Kendra and an Agriculture Research Station. But there is no colleges to study agriculture. Students have to go to Darwad or Raichur to continue their carrier in agriculture. An Agricultural university gives scope in Agriculture for next generation. There is 40% reservation for students who come from farming community and scholarship for the UG & PG programme in Karnataka Agriculture Universities which is very helpful to the students.
